My daughter is the reason why I started coaching this team back in 1983

1983 - SweetHearts Softball - 2013
I thought I would never say this but my "HEART" tells me I need to quit after 32 years.

Welcome to the online home of the SweetHearts 12 and Under Fast Pitch Softball team. The history of the team started back in 1982 and Coach Greg took over in 1983 and has never given up the team. The young softball player above is my daughter when she played on the team in 1983 and 1984.

As you tour this site you will find photos for our most recent games, game schedules, current and former member lists, organizational history, player numbers, pictures of our parks, links to groups with similar interests, and more than 30 years of information about our history.

And now the team has even more reason for coach to stay with us as his first granddaughter will play for the team in 10 years. If coach can hang on that long he will make 40 years as coach of the SweetHearts

Members of the team have gone on to play high school and college softball, coach their own teams, work for the recreation department, umpire the game we all love so much, and even come back to coach their own daughther's on the SweetHearts.

The internet now brings the world to our home field here at North Frasch in Sulphur, Louisiana. It has connected many players both young and old allowing them to experience what they love and loved about summer.

We hope you enjoy your visit with the SweetHearts and return often for game and photo updates. People have laughed that we use such a 'girlish' name but no team around here has the long time history and recognition we have. Girls want to play for the 'Hearts when they "get older". Come by often and see what fun we are having each summer.

Join the SweetHearts each summer as we celebrate the game of fast-pitch softball.

It's been a lot of years since I started coaching this team back in 1983

My newest SweetHeart, born 9/2/09 - Bayli Rayne - and last season's mascot, the mascot of a former mascot! - the reason I will keep coaching.

Great site for softball information
